The Currie 44/60 Hybrid Portal Axles for the 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator JT are complete bolt-in axle assemblies with all required brackets and mounts in place. The vehicle's factory rear driveshaft will require modification or replacement to accommodate the larger 1350 series u-joint and 60 series housing. New 8-lug wheels are required.

The heavy-duty nodular iron center section features 14 lbs of reinforcement over a stock 44 with thicker walls and webbing to deliver superior strength and rigidity

Large 3 in. diameter x .5 in. wall axle tubes (left) are more than 2.5 times stronger than the stock tubes (right)

Forged Inner Knuckles

Currie heavy-duty forged inner knuckles (right) are massively more robust than the stock knuckles (left) and are designed for severe off-road use with tall tires

Designed and optimized using computer simulation, the HD60 is reinforced in critical areas with thicker walls and heavier webbing to deliver maximum strength, durability, and rigidity

60-Series Gear

Gear diameter equals strength - the HD60's 9.75" gear (right) provides greater torque and load handling capacity when compared to the stock 8.66" gear (left)

Axle Tubes

Large 3.5 in. diameter .375 wall axle tubes (left) are more than 3x the strength of the stock tubes (right) without being overweight or sacrificing ground clearance

Chromoly Axles

Notes

Front Axle Disconnect (FAD): This axle assembly eliminates the factory FAD and requires a computer programmer, such as the Tazer Mini or Tazer Lite, to disable the factory sensor and turn off the FAD warning message

Wheel Bolt Pattern and Offset: Requires 8 x 6.5 (8 x 165.1 mm) bolt pattern wheels. We strongly recommend a 25 mm positive offset (approximately a 5.5-inch backspace)

Overall Width: The axle width with portals installed is 73.25 inches. The effective overall width with a 25 mm positive offset wheel is 71 inches

Vehicle Lift: If using the factory height suspension or a leveling kit without bump stop spacers, an aftermarket track bar is required to clear the differential cover. The RockJock 4x4 track bar RJ-9120FJLF provides ample clearance.

Tie Rod: Requires a high clearance custom-width tie rod with JL/JT taper ends
